Welcome to Broadway

At Broadway our aim is to live in relationship with Jesus by walking in the Spirit, strengthened through his Word.

Hope is brought to us through the gospel. Jesus was rejected, crucified, buried, and rose again and through Him, we have been forgiven and restored.

Welcome to Broadway

At Broadway, our aim is to demonstrate our love for Christ in every aspect of our lives- living in relationship with Jesus, walking in the spirit, seeking him through his word, and loving as he loved us.

We desire to be devoted to living the Word and walking in the Spirit, literally moment-by-moment. Jesus lived a perfect life. He was rejected, crucified, buried, and rose again, but in His death and resurrection, hope is brought to all creation. Through Jesus we have been forgiven, and through Jesus, God restores His family.

God loved the world. This was illustrated to us by the giving of His son as a sacrifice for all of mankind. We want nothing more than to imitate the love God gives us, to each and every individual with whom we come in contact.

OUR VISION & MISSION

We are a community of believers who love Jesus passionately and love everyone unconditionally. We believe that because Jesus said it, we believe it;  Jesus modeled it, we want to live it; Jesus commanded it, we want to obey it.

We are commanded to make disciples who make disciples by imitating Jesus and living a life powered by the Holy Spirit.

We define a "life P.O.W.E.R.ed by the Holy Spirit" as having the following qualities:

Guided by PRAYER

One of Jesus’ spiritual habits was prayer.  Prayer is how The Father and the Holy Spirit spoke to Jesus.  (Mark 1:35; Luke 5:16)

Living OBEDIENTLY

Jesus was perfect and always obeyed His Heavenly Father.  (John 8:29)

WORD - Centered

Jesus studied the Scriptures. Even as a young boy at the age of 12, he was found teaching and lecturing the teachers in the Temple.  (Matthew 22:29; Luke 2:41-47)

EXALTING the Father

Jesus was humble.  Everything he did was to glorify, honor, and worship His Heavenly Father.  (John 3:21; Philippians 2:5-11)

RELATIONSHIP Building

Jesus frequently connected and built friendships with people seeking truth.  He was known as a ‘friend of sinners,' mentoring and investing in his disciples.  (Matthew 9:10-13; Luke 8:1-3)
Studying the model of Jesus, we have learned there are four specific growth-steps that Jesus taught his disciples.
In following these growth-steps we are taught to become disciples who make disciples.

LEARN

"'Come,' he replied, 'and you will see.' So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon." - John 1:39
COME AND SEE - in this 1st growth-step you may be searching. You may be asking, “Who is this Jesus?” or “What is this church thing all about?” We invite you to join us in worship and experience who and what this Jesus thing is all about. We want you to get connected at Broadway and begin your journey of becoming a disciple of Jesus.

LOVE

"The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, 'Follow me.'" - John 1:43
FOLLOW ME - In this 2nd growth-step you will desire a relationship with Jesus. As you come to know Him, you will want to accept Christ and be baptized. As a follower of Jesus, you will discover how much Jesus loves you unconditionally so you can love Jesus passionately. Then you will be able love everyone the way that Jesus loves you.

LIVE

"Jesus called out to them, 'Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!'” - Matthew 4:19
FISHERS OF MEN - In this 3rd growth-step you will no longer live for just yourself. As you begin to live as Jesus lived, fully dependent on the Holy Spirit, your focus turns from yourself to helping others. Begin helping others by introducing someone to Jesus and the church by sharing with them your journey of becoming a disciple.

LEAD

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you."
- John 15:16
BECOME A DISCIPLE MAKER - In this 4th growth-step of your journey in being a disciple you are now ready to lead others to follow Jesus. In your last growth step you are ready to begin the 1st step of being a disciple maker. Continuing to share your journey of becoming a disciple, invite a friend or a family member to take the 1st step in becoming a disciple who makes disciples.
